SUMMARY:
Maintenance/Buildings & Grounds personnel are responsible for the interior and exterior care of our facilities. The primary focus of this classification is the area of grounds, with building maintenance being the secondary focus.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works outdoors, standing, walking and using hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently reaches with hands and arms. The employee occasionally sits. The employee frequently squats, stoops or kneels and reaches about the head and reaches forward. The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp tools and climb on ladders. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk more than the average person while performing the duties of this job. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally the employee will lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, such as building debris or fallen limbs. The employee will sometimes push and/or pull items such as lawn mowers and commercial blowers. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
