Temporary Jr Attorney-Litigation

ElevateNext is recruiting a temporary-to-permanent Junior Commercial Attorney to join our legal team, supporting large national clients across labor & employment (L&E) and litigation matters. This role is ideal for a team-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute across a variety of legal domains.

Specifically, you will
  • Conduct interviews and fact-gathering sessions related to employment and labor matters.
  • Provide legal advice and strategic recommendations to clients on issues, including compliance, investigations, and risk mitigation.
  • Participate in union-related defense matters; prior experience in this area is a strong plus.
  • Support litigation efforts including case setup, litigation holds, document collection, discovery responses, motions practice, and coordination with paralegals and outside counsel.
  • Collaborate with internal and client teams to ensure seamless legal service delivery.
  • Contribute to knowledge management and process improvement initiatives.

Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in labor & employment law and/or litigation support.
  • Experience with union defense matters preferred.

  • Flexible and willing to pitch in on matters and projects to better serve our customer, even if the work falls outside your normal scope of duties.
  • Can act independently, use good judgement, but also not afraid to ask questions.

Technical Skills
  • Experience with Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or SharePoint.

Qualifications
  • J.D. from accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice in at least one state, CA preferred.

Compensation
  • The pay rate for this remote-based contract role is $100/hr.
