Temporary Litigation Attorney

Trustpoint.One is pleased to be partnering with a a growing Michigan-based law firm in their search for a Temporary Litigation Attorney to assist their team. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in Michigan and located in the Detroit Metro area and meet the following requirements:

• At least four years of prior civil litigation experience, either commercial litigation or insurance defense.
• Strong academic credentials and previous law firm experience are required.
• Experience assisting with or managing all phases of litigation, including propounding and responding to discovery, performing legal research, drafting motions and briefs, taking and defending depositions and preparing for hearings, mediation and trial.
• Firm offers a collegial environment, with an opportunity to develop trial skills and be provided with training and mentorship.
• A competitive hourly rate is offered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support litigation cases.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Collaborate with clients to gather information and develop case strategies.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court proceedings.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to provide informed legal advice.

All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time.
