Job Summary:

The Temporary Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and ensuring that mechanical works on site comply with project specifications, codes, standards, and quality requirements. This role is temporary/contractual, typically for the duration of a specific project or until a permanent inspector is appointed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of mechanical installations, including HVAC systems, piping, pumps, valves, fire-fighting systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Verify that all works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and international standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM, ISO).
• Monitor quality control processes and ensure compliance with project QA/QC plans.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, site observations, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) for submission to the QA/QC Engineer or Project Manager.
• Coordinate with contractors and engineers to resolve technical issues.
• Check materials and equipment for compliance with project specifications before installation.
• Witness mechanical tests and commissioning activities as required.
• Ensure proper documentation, including inspection checklists, certificates, and test reports.
• Support safety procedures and maintain compliance with site HSE policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Inspector in construction projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, standards, and documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and inspection software is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

• Immediate availability for temporary assignment.
• UAE driving license may be required (depending on site).
• Previous experience in similar project type (commercial, residential, or industrial) preferred.

Contract length: 2 months

Pay: AED300.00 - AED400.00 per day
