Temporary Nanny

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Temporary Live-out Nanny for an 8-week placement beginning Friday 6th March, with a lovely UHNW family visiting from Switzerland to their property on the Upper East Side, New York.

The family operates a fully staffed household and are looking for a skilled professional who will integrate seamlessly into their home and team. The position centres on the care of their two-year old daughter and requires someone who brings genuine enthusiasm, professionalism and positivity to every day.

Job duties

Responsibilities of the Temporary Nanny in New York, include:

• Providing attentive, nurturing care for a 2-year-old girl in both sole and shared care settings
• Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities to support development, learning, and play
• Maintaining consistent routines around meals, naps, and bedtime
• Accompanying the child on outings, appointments, and activities as required
• Communicating effectively and professionally with household staff and family members
• Keeping the child’s environment safe, clean, and organised
• Being adaptable and responsive to the family’s evolving needs throughout the engagement

Candidates must be/have

• Strong, hands-on experience working with toddlers and children of a similar age
• Right to work in USA
• Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working within a fully staffed household environment
• A genuine team player with excellent energy and a collaborative spirit
• Flexible in their approach — able to transition smoothly between sole and shared care arrangements
• Professional, discreet, and respectful of the family’s culture and household dynamics
• Paediatric first aid certified (current)
• Excellent references from previous nanny or childcare positions

Hours

Full time, up to 50 hours per week. The family require flexibility around working days and hours, and the successful candidate should be comfortable adapting their schedule to meet the needs of the household.

Salary

Highly competitive rate, depending on experience.
