Temporary Software Developer

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Development of real-time data acquisition from the health app of iOS, optimization of data collection frequency and communication with an automated insulin delivery app.

Key responsibilities include:

• Software development
• Testing of various software modules developed
• Integration of the data acquisition and transmission

Communications

The new hire will communicate with doctoral students working on various elements of the automated insulin delivery system, and with Professors Rashid and Cinar.

Customer Service

The software development work will necessitate collaboration with the doctoral students. There are no customer service tasks.

Qualifications

SUPERVISION & BUDGET AUTHORITY

• No supervision responsibility (employees or student workers)
• No budget authority

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• B.S. in Computer Science
• Knowledge of the Apple iOS system
• Strong programming skills

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Expert programming skills in Python and iOS
• Advanced knowledge in data retrieval from the Apple health app
• Data filtering and artifact elimination

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

No exposure to unpleasant conditions
