Temporary Travel Office Coordinator

The German University in Cairo is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a Temporary Travel Office Coordinator.


Reporting Channel/Interactions:


  • Reports directly to the Travel Office Manager& Head of Department
  • Interacts and communicates with GUC Community, local and international hotels, airlines and travel agencies


Educational Background:


BA in General Management or Tourism


Experience:


Fresh Graduate or (1 - 3 years)experience in the Travel Business Field



Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assist in trips’ planning and booking process based on procedures in-place
  • Handle, prepare and revise all travelling documents for students related to the Semester Abroad Program at GUC Berlin
  • Support in the preparation and compilation of statistical reports
  • Handle necessary correspondence for booking purposes
  • Maintain the filing system
  • Handle any booking requirements with travel agencies and seek for best possible travel offers
  • Handle all administrative tasks and inquiries
  • Execute – based on Manager’s assignment - departmental booking orders
  • Maintain the Travel Office database
  • Handle any ad-hoc assigned duties related to the dept.



Job-related Skills:


  • Computer Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and e-mail Organizational Skills
  • Language Skills: Arabic – Fluent (Written& Spoken)
  • English – Fluent (Written& spoken) German is an asset
  • Administrative Skills Interpersonal Skills
