Hours per week: 20-25 hours per week Monday through Thursday starting April 8 estimated end date June 30

Starting Hourly Rate: $22.53

Position Description: The Temporary Warehouse Food Scheduler plays a key role in the logistics operations of the St. Lucy Food Project. This position is responsible for complying with Ministry standards in coordinating and scheduling food distribution orders to partner food pantries across the Diocese of Arlington. The scheduler ensures accurate, timely, and efficient order preparation and dispatch, contributing directly to the mission of alleviating food insecurity in our community.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate weekly food distribution schedules for multiple partner agencies and food pantries.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for scheduling outbound deliveries and pickups with partner organizations.
  • In alignment with Ministry standards maintain accurate records of food orders, delivery times, and recipient organizations.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and volunteers to confirm inventory availability and readiness of scheduled orders.
  • Update and manage distribution calendars and scheduling spreadsheets.
  • Assist with responding to inquiries from partner agencies regarding order status and changes.
  • Support logistical planning to optimize delivery routes and resource use.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and distribution protocols.
  • Provide general administrative assistance as needed to support warehouse operations.
  • Conduct data Entry for CAFB Partner direct, Monthly distribution reports and submissions to meet deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Effective organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new tasks and procedures, comply with process, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow
  • Fluency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook basic data entry and other relevant software
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Comfortable with phone and email communication.
  • Willingness to uphold Catholic social teaching in the workplace
Education and Experience:
  • Associate's degree or some college with equivalent work experience
Physical Demands:
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
