Temporary Web Developer (Maternity Leave Replacement)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Web Developer to join our team on a temporary basis as a replacement during maternity leave. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and enhancing our websites and digital platforms to ensure optimal performance, user experience, and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update existing websites to ensure smooth functionality.
• Develop, test, and deploy new website features and improvements.
• Optimize websites for performance, speed, and SEO.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the design, marketing, and IT teams to support digital campaigns and business requirements.
• Ensure website security, backups, and compliance with best practices.
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to the permanent staff upon contract completion.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Web Developer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Shopify).
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, SQL) and server management.
• Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and website optimization techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and deliver tasks within deadlines.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

• Experience with UI/UX design principles.
• Familiarity with APIs and third-party integrations.
• Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git).
