This role will play a key part in identifying new public-sector opportunities that align with our expertise and long-term goals.

Role Overview

The Tender / Bid Research Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the company’s expansion into the public sector. This position is responsible for proactively identifying, tracking, and reporting relevant public-sector construction tenders and bidding opportunities. The role requires strong research skills, an understanding of public procurement processes, and the ability to align opportunities with the company’s capabilities, qualifications, and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and monitor public-sector construction tenders from government, municipal, and institutional sources
• Research and evaluate tender opportunities to ensure alignment with the company’s scope, experience, and eligibility
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date tender pipeline / opportunity tracker
• Track bid deadlines, submission requirements, pre-bid meetings, and addenda
• Prepare and share clear tender summaries with leadership, estimation, and preconstruction teams
• Coordinate internally to support registrations, compliance documentation, and bid readiness
• Monitor upcoming and forecasted public-sector projects for early visibility
• Ensure timely communication of high-priority and time-sensitive opportunities
• Support continuous improvement of tender sourcing and tracking processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in tender searching / bid sourcing (construction preferred)
• Strong understanding of public procurement and bidding processes
• Excellent internet research and analytical skills
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Strong attention to detail and deadline management
• Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets

Preferred

• Prior experience sourcing public-sector construction tenders (government, municipal, institutional)
• Familiarity with public bidding platforms and procurement portals
• Understanding of RFP, RFQ, IFB processes and public procurement terminology
• Basic knowledge of construction scopes, trades, and compliance requirements
• Experience supporting estimation, preconstruction, or bid management teams
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
