The Tender manager will be responsible for identifying tender opportunities, preparing tender documents, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring timely submission of bids for construction and infrastructure projects. The role requires strong documentation skills, knowledge of government e-tendering portals, and an understanding of technical and commercial requirements in the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and track potential tender opportunities from various government and private portals.
- Review tender documents (NIT, BOQ, technical specifications, drawings) and understand project requirements.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Estimation, Planning, Finance, and Management teams for data collection.
- Prepare and compile all required tender documents including technical bids, commercial bids, and supporting paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with all tender conditions and mandatory documents.
- Manage online submission through e-tendering portals (e-procurement, GEM, state portals, etc.).
- Prepare cost sheets, rate analysis, and assist in pricing with estimation teams.
- Maintain a database of ongoing tenders, submitted tenders, and awarded projects.
- Handle vendor registrations, renewals, certifications, and document control.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, prepare queries, and share clarifications with management.
- Ensure accurate documentation, timely submission, and follow-up on tender status.
- Support management in negotiation, contract finalization, and post-tender activities.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of construction and infrastructure tender processes.
- Proficiency in government e-tendering systems.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to understand BOQs, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PDF editing).
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders at once.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience in tendering within construction, infrastructure, roads, irrigation, or government contracting preferred.
