Tender document analysis: Study and analyze all tender documents, including specifications, drawings, and contracts, to fully understand project scope and requirements.
Cost estimation and budgeting:
Calculate material, equipment, and labor costs.
Prepare and finalize Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates.
Conduct quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns.
Proposal preparation:
Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, including submittals and other necessary documentation.
Ensure proposals comply with all tender requirements and company standards.
Supplier and subcontractor management:
Obtain quotations from and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
Review and evaluate received offers for technical compliance and cost-competitiveness.
Create comparison sheets to analyze offers.
Coordination and communication:
Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal departments (e.g., design, procurement, sales).
Coordinate with design teams to address any gaps or conflicts in drawings.
Attend clarification meetings with clients and consultants.
Site analysis: Conduct site visits to gather information on site conditions, access, and local services.
Value engineering: Propose cost-effective solutions and participate in value engineering activities.
Documentation and reporting: Maintain project records, prepare progress reports, and manage the submission process.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field from a reputable university.
Minimum 2 years of experience in tendering, cost estimation, or project proposals.
Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, materials, and industry standards.
