Job Summary:
The Solar Tender Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering process specifically for solar power projects, including identification of opportunities, preparation of competitive bids, and ensuring compliance with technical, financial, and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong coordination with engineering, finance, legal, and project teams to support successful bid submissions for solar EPC, O&M, or open-access projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Identification & Market Research:
- Monitor solar sector tender opportunities across government portals (GEM, SECI, NTPC, state DISCOMs) and private sector platforms.
- Analyse tender documents for feasibility, eligibility, and technical requirements.
- Provide recommendations on tender participation based on project capacity, location, and strategic alignment.
- Bid Preparation & Submission:
- Coordinate with internal teams (technical, finance, legal, procurement) to gather necessary inputs and documentation.
- Prepare compliant and competitive proposals, including technical, financial, and commercial components.
- Ensure submission of tenders within deadlines and in line with client formats and specifications.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure adherence to statutory, regulatory, and company standards for solar project tenders.
- Coordination & Communication:
- Serve as the point of contact for client queries related to tender submissions.
- Coordinate with EPC, O&M, and project execution teams to ensure technical accuracy of proposals.
- Support contract negotiation and post-tender clarifications if required
- Reporting & Process Improvement:
- Track tender outcomes and prepare reports on tender participation, win/loss ratios.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and success rates.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: 4–5 years in tender management, bid preparation, or project development in the solar or renewable energy sector.
- Knowledge:
- Understanding of solar EPC projects, open-access projects, and O&M contracts.
- Familiarity with government and private sector solar tenders.
- Knowledge of financial and technical evaluation criteria for solar projects.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems and project execution.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office, tender portals, and project management software.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on compliance and accuracy.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
