Territory Sales Manager – Fans

Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Collections (Fans)
- Achieve product-wise and category-wise monthly sales targets for Fans (Ceiling Fans, BLDC Fans, Decorative Fans, Pedestal/Table/Wall Fans).
- Drive primary and secondary sales through distributors, dealers, retailers, and modern trade channels to achieve area business objectives.
- Increase market share in the Fans category by expanding numeric and weighted distribution (ND & WD), improving outlet productivity, and increasing TPW, bill value, and model mix.
- Execute sales activation plans, BTL activities, retailer meets, electrician meets, influencer programs, seasonal schemes, and in-store brand visibility initiatives.
- Ensure timely collections, adherence to monthly commitments, and reduction of outstanding/OD as per corporate guidelines.
2. Channel Management & Development
- Continuously monitor and improve channel partner health (Distributors, Dealers, Retailers).
- Drive network expansion, outlet activation, and channel correction across town categories to strengthen fan category reach and visibility.
- Plan and execute strategies to maximize retail reach (ND & WD) across general trade, electrical stores, and modern trade formats.
- Develop strong relationships with retailers, electricians, carpenters, interior influencers, and local trade bodies to drive secondary sales and brand preference.
3. Process, Visibility & Market Expansion
- Ensure strict adherence to sales, collection, and channel management processes at area level.
- Lead retail channel development and market expansion initiatives in the Fans category.
- Plan and execute promotional activities, new model launches (including BLDC), local activations, shop branding, visibility drives, demo units, and consumer offers.
- Handle sales administration, demand forecasting, seasonal planning, beat planning, MIS, and performance reporting.
- Conduct regular competition analysis, price benchmarking, scheme comparison, and tracking of consumer and seasonal trends in the Fans market.
4. People Management
- Ensure and maximize field sales team productivity (TSMs, Sales Executives, Promoters).
- Lead the team from the front in market execution, retail coverage, visibility, and collections.
- Identify, track, and develop future leaders within the team.
- Review individual and team performance, identify gaps, and provide coaching and on-the-job training.
- Foster strong interpersonal relationships, collaboration, and employee engagement within the team.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Ensure effective coordination with Marketing, Service, Finance, Supply Chain, Product, and Sales Operations teams.
- Support new product launches, visibility material deployment, scheme rollouts, claim settlements, and after-sales service resolution for fan products.
6. Sales Administration & External Interface
- Improve category-wise productivity and area-level sales growth in the Fans category.
- Achieve collection targets and reduction in overdue payments.
- Strengthen retail channel management and development initiatives.
- Track competitor activities, market intelligence, pricing movements, scheme effectiveness, and industry trends in the Fans segment.
