Test Automation Engineer

Location: Egypt, Cairo

As an Automation Tester (Mid-Senior), you will take ownership of designing complex automation suites, driving scalability of frameworks, and mentoring junior engineers. The role bridges execution and leadership, ensuring that automation aligns with business and technical goals, while continuously improving test effectiveness.

YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead design of complex automation suites (SAP, web, mobile).
• Own framework scalability and maintainability.
• Mentor junior engineers, reviewing code and test strategy.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for automation planning.
• Evaluate and implement new automation tools and technologies.
• Perform performance/scalability testing.

ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline and at least 3-5 years of development experience
• Proven experience with Automation Framework tools like Playwright, Appium and\or Enterprise Automation Tools such as UFT1
• Proven experience with Performance testing tools like JMeter, Load Runner and\or Azure Test Load or others is a Plus
• Demonstrated successfully planned, design + accomplished tests in a multi-vendor and international environment leveraging different test automation platforms
• Experience with eCommerce Platforms such as SAP Hybris/SAP Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Magento, and others will be considered as strong advantage
• DevOps and CI/CD toolset, processes a must
• Experience with Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDCL) and Agile work management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, and others is a Plus

• Strategic Collaboration: Partners with cross-functional teams (Dev, Product, Scrum Masters) to align automation goals.
• Critical Thinking: Evaluates trade-offs between automation depth, speed, and maintainability.
• Innovation-Oriented: Proactively suggests new frameworks, tools, or methodologies to improve testing.
• Conflict Resolution: Handles disagreements (e.g., test scope, priorities) constructively and diplomatically.
