Test Engineer - Manual QA

Scope

• Team is part of the Product Development division, and the role is to conduct functional testing for new features as well as regression testing.
  
  

Our Current Technical Environment

• Software: Web application testing, DB, Oracle SQL, Defect Management Tool -Jira , Testing Management tool if any, Rest API/Postman, Putty/M-Remote command knowledge.
• Frameworks/Others: little knowledge of Kubernetes, Kafka.
  
  

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute detailed test plans, cases, and scripts to validate software functionality, Usability, accessibility.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand requirements and provide feedback.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira or TestRail, ensuring timely resolution.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• 2.5 - 5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Ability to create effective test plans, test cases, and test strategies based on requirements and specifications.
• Proficiency in various testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Experience with tools like Jira for documenting and managing defects throughout the test lifecycle.
• Ability to identify the underlying causes of defects and collaborate with development teams to implement solutions.
• Understanding of SQL is necessary for validating data integrity and performing backend testing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are vital for reporting test results, documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to analyze issues critically and propose effective solutions.
• Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot, debug, and fix issue
• Collaborative mindset to work effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Certification - ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent (Optional).
