Test Engineering Intern

Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. ACT Arthrex California Technology, we design and manufacture sate of the art Endoscopy Cameras and Resection Shavers. We are searching for an Intern to support the Test Engineering Team to perform R&D Testing and Verification & Validation (V&V) activities. The successful candidate will prepare, execute, and document Engineering and V&V Testing with guidance from the engineering staff. The individual must be detailed oriented in the execution and documentation of these test methods. The individual will also work within the requirements of their tasks to deliver results and communicate issues in a timely and accurate manner. Please note this is not a Software Engineering or Software Testing position

This internship will run from June 2026 – September 2026. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Santa Barbara, CA facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gen3 Camera project studies and testing
• Nanoneedle project studies and testing
• Creating and improving test fixtures
• Software (test related code) testing.
• Technical writing (Protocols and reports).
• Trident project studies and testing.
• Software (test related code) development and testing.

Education and Experience:

• Progress towards a college degree in Engineering (Electrical, Software, Industrial, Mechanical), Physics, or Computer Science required. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Experience with technical writing, LabVIEW, Matlab, Linux, object oriented programming, .net, or Solidworks preferred.
• Experience with oscilloscopes and multimeters preferred.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
