Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quality Tester to lead testing efforts and ensure the delivery of high-quality software applications. The role involves planning, designing, executing, and leading functional and non-functional testing, mentoring junior testers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality at every stage of the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Perform manual and automated testing (functional, regression, performance, security, and integration testing).
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Ensure thorough test coverage and traceability from requirements to delivery.
• Lead and mentor a team of junior testers, providing guidance on best practices, processes, and tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning to provide QA perspective.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance requirements.
• Prepare test reports, metrics, and dashboards for stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality testing, with at least 2+ years in a senior/lead role.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and processes (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, etc.).
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
• Proficiency in SQL and database testing.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of test automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical mindset.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of cloud-based testing (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with mobile application testing (Appium, Espresso).
• Familiarity with security testing and compliance standards.
• ISTQB / CSTE or other QA certifications.
