Tester III - Software Testing

We are looking for a detail-oriented Functional / Web Application Tester with strong manual testing skills, hands-on experience in API testing using tools such as Bruno, SoapUI, or Postman, and working knowledge of SQL queries (preferably PostgreSQL). The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality software delivery by validating functionality, usability, and data integrity across web-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of web applications to validate functional, UI, and usability requirements
• Analyze business and functional requirements to create test scenarios, test cases, and test data
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Bruno, SoapUI, or Postman
  • Validate request/response structures, status codes, headers, and payloads
  • Perform positive and negative test scenarios
• Verify backend data using SQL queries, preferably in PostgreSQL
• Identify, log, and track defects using defect tracking tools
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Participate in test planning, test execution, and test closure activities
• Prepare and maintain test documentation and reports

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in Manual Testing of web applications
• Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools:
  • Bruno or SoapUI or Postman
• Ability to validate REST APIs (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE)
• Knowledge of HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON/XML
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills, preferably using PostgreSQL
  • Ability to write SELECT queries with WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY, and ORDER BY clauses
• Experience in test case design techniques
• Familiarity with defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)
