Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate, driven, and highly skilled Testing &Commissioning Manager to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for engineering and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across multiple disciplines and industries to drive successful project delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards.

The role will be responsible for leading and managing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) construction, commissioning, and site supervision projects from start to finish. This includes technical and commercial management of projects, working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams. The role will involve not only overseeing complex commissioning projects but also contributing to AESG's growth by helping to win new work, prepare tenders, and manage client relationships. The successful candidate will form a key part of AESGs high-performing commissioning and site supervision department, based at our Dubai headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management & Site Supervision:
• Lead and manage MEP construction and commissioning projects, ensuring all deliverables meet technical, quality, and safety standards.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with project timelines, budgets, and regulations.
• Ensure efficient and seamless site operations by coordinating between clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Client & Stakeholder Management:
• Act as the key point of contact for clients, representing AESG as the MEP lead, responsible for the technical and commercial success of projects.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Confidently present progress, technical details, and solutions to clients and senior management teams.
• Business Development & Tendering:
• Play a key role in winning new work by preparing competitive and comprehensive tender submissions.
• Provide site-based support for commercial aspects of the projects, including cost management and contract negotiations.
• Support the growth of AESG by contributing to new business opportunities, industry networking, and thought leadership.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship:
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and the wider project team.
• Drive technical excellence and innovation in project delivery, including exploring automation tools such as Dynamo or Python for design workflows.
• Ensure compliance with MEP commissioning standards and best practices.
• Team & Resource Management:
• Manage and mentor a team of MEP engineers, ensuring high performance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Lead resource planning, project scheduling, and risk management, ensuring the timely and efficient completion of projects.

Qualifications / Experience

• Bachelors degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (post-graduate education such as a Masters degree is a plus).
• A minimum of 20+ years of experience in MEP project management, from hands-on to leadership roles with at least 10 years of experience in the Middle East.
• Proven track record of successfully leading MEP installation and commissioning programs, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with UAE and regional building codes, and commissioning standards.
• Demonstrated growth through additional certified training (e.g., CSA, LEED, PMP, ACG).
• Proficiency in software platforms such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Revit.
