The Delivery Driver (“DD”) is in charge of receiving orders from the expeditors, delivering and completing transactions to fulfill orders to the customers. The Delivery Driver checks the order on the package and drives it to the customer, whereby the Delivery Driver will assist the customer with any inquires they have and then finish by receiving the cash payment and inputting the information into the website point of sale system “Blaze”. Each delivery driver is in charge of inspecting the vehicle assigned to them before they begin driving it and making sure that the vehicle is filled with gas.

Please note that we are specifically looking for candidates who are able to regularly work nights and weekends.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet customers and facilitate delivery orders.
  • Always deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Actively educate yourself about the cannabis industry.
  • Educate the customer by describing a product's features and benefits, demonstrating the use and operation of the product.
  • Answer customer queries regarding the store and the merchandise make suggestions and encourage questions.
  • Receive orders from the expeditors
  • Drive company vehicle to make deliveries to customers.
  • Complete customer transactions through cash payment.
  • Must own or have continuous access to a smartphone, tablet, or similar mobile device with active cellular service and sufficient data plan capable of downloading, installing, and reliably running required company applications.
  • Access to and maintenance of a compatible mobile device with active service is a condition of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Close orders on point-of-sale system.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections at the beginning and end of your shift.
  • Punctual and consistent shift attendance.
  • Must comply with expectations that are aligned with company policy.
  • Pick up vehicles after maintenance is confirmed.
  • Ensure your vehicle is filled with gas at the end of your shift.
  • Verify all transfers before leaving the shop.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent sales and customer service skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the merchandise sold.
  • Ability to anticipate customer’s needs.
  • Ability to recommend merchandise to customers.
  • Ability to operate or to quickly learn the stores point-of-sale system.
  • Follow tasks given by upper management.
  • Maintain good attendance.
  • Clean driving record.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The physical requirements listed are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essentially functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods while driving (up to 6-8 hours per shift)
  • Must be able to walk short distances frequently to deliver and pick up orders.
  • Must be able to bend, reach, and twist occasionally when handling packages or navigating stairs.
  • Must be able to reach above head with at least one arm.
  • Being able to keep or regain balance, and climb in and out of a vehicle.
  • Must have the visual and auditory ability to operate a vehicle safely and interact with customers.
  • Being able to see objects in bright or low light, have constant sight, touch and hearing.
  • Being able to tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winder, and frequently transition between temperatures.
  • May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
