We're Hiring – Textile Designer & Market Researcher (Weaves – Local Market)

Shams & Brothers is looking for a Textile Designer & Market Researcher who has hands-on experience in local weaving markets, fabric trends, and design development. This role is ideal for someone with strong aesthetic sense, a passion for fabrics, and a sharp understanding of market demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design woven textile patterns and fabric layouts aligned with current market trends.
• Conduct market research in local weaving markets
• gather insights on designs, fabrics, and consumer preferences.
• Work closely with R&D, Merchandising, and Sourcing teams to develop commercially viable designs.
• Prepare and update technical sheets.
• Stay up-to-date with seasonal trends, color palettes, and weave innovations.
• Maintain records of market visits and competitor analysis.
• Collaborate with mills and suppliers for fabric development.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in woven textile design & local market research (mandatory)
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop / Textile CAD tools is preferred
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Good understanding of yarn types, weaving techniques, fabric structures
• Market knowledge of local vendors and suppliers is a must
• Qualification: Minimum Bachelor’s in Textile/Fashion Design or equivalent
