Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Textile Pattern Master with hands-on expertise in pattern development and sewing. The role requires strong technical knowledge of textile patterns, fabric behavior, and garment construction, along with the ability to sew samples and prototypes to ensure fit, functionality, and production readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and engineer textile patterns for woven, knitted, and printed fabrics
• Translate design concepts into production-ready patterns
• Create accurate repeats, placements, and colorways
• Sew samples, prototypes, and trial garments for fit and construction validation
• Evaluate fabric behavior during sewing and recommend pattern or construction adjustments
• Work closely with designers, sampling, and production teams
• Supervise sampling, corrections, and final approvals
• Ensure patterns and sewn samples meet quality, fit, and performance standards
• Optimize patterns to reduce fabric waste and improve production efficiency
• Troubleshoot pattern and sewing issues during sampling and bulk production
• Maintain pattern libraries, sewing notes, and technical documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in textile pattern making and industrial sewing
• Strong understanding of garment construction and stitch techniques
• Ability to operate industrial sewing machines (single needle, overlock, flatlock, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of fabric behavior across different textile types
• Proficiency in CAD software (Adobe Illustrator, NedGraphics, Gerber, or similar)
• Ability to interpret tech packs and design briefs
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Textile Design, Fashion Technology, or related field
• Experience in garment manufacturing or export houses
• Knowledge of cost-efficient construction and sampling optimization
• Exposure to quality control and finishing processes
