Teach For India is on a journey to reach an India free of poverty and filled with love by ending educational inequity in our country. Fifteen years into our journey we are a movement of ~5000+ Alumni working at all levels of the education system, who are reaching 1 in 10 children across the country. These Alumni have graduated from our two-year Fellowship Program where they taught in under-resourced classrooms to put ~33,500 low-income children on a different life path. Today, we have ~1000 Fellows and are the largest pipeline of driven, skilled talent into the educational ecosystem in India. Over 16,000 Teach For India students have appeared for the 10th grade board examinations till date, with an impressive 95% pass rate across cities as of November 2024.
In 2022, we embarked on Phase 4, our fourth strategic phase. We have a bold and ambitious ten-year journey ahead of us that aims to grow 50,000 leaders, who will work collectively, and with love, to transform the lives of 1 in 10 low-income children in our regions, through an education that unleashes the potential of self, others and India. In this decade, five key priorities will lead us to this vision.
Our work will only be completed when we have built a movement of leaders that is large enough to ensure that every child in India attains an excellent education.
We pride ourselves as being a passionate, idealistic, mission-driven team of individuals. We’re committed to learning and excellence in our roles, and to being deeply rooted in our core values.
Reporting to: Alumni Partner - Post-Incubation
We are seeking a dynamic, grounded, and mission-driven individual to work closely with the Alumni Partner and support Education Entrepreneurs across India, who are in the post-incubation stage. This high-ownership role focused on working closely with TFIx Entrepreneurs and their Fellows to strengthen the instructional leadership, operational systems, and impact measurement practices to deepen their impact through the Fellowship.
As a thought partner and coach, you will support Entrepreneurs in building strong classrooms and communities by advancing rigorous pedagogy, fostering data-informed decision-making, and embedding sustainable leadership practices. You will work directly with Fellows and their Fellowship teams to build instructional proficiency, improve student learning outcomes, and drive excellence in daily execution.
This role demands a blended skill set across instructional and technical expertise, people management and coaching, strategic planning and decision making, rigorous execution, and complex operations management.
It is an ideal role for someone passionate about educational equity, systems thinking, and grassroots leadership, and towards that, coaching people, building robust systems, and driving sustainable, ground-up change in education.
Why does this role matter?
What will you gain?
TFIx enables the expansion of Teach For India’s mission and impact into India’s most marginalized and vulnerable populations, as well as the very last mile. Its mission is to develop leaders who will transform education by reaching children in every corner of India.
To achieve this, TFIx offers a comprehensive three-stage incubation program- from pre-incubation to incubation to post-incubation support. Each year, we select Education entrepreneurs from across India, and through incubation, we assist them in designing and launching a contextualized Fellowship similar to Teach For India’s model but adapted to their region. During the post-incubation phase, we continue supporting them to strengthen their work and increase their impact through the fellowship, helping to build a movement of local leaders.
Over more than 9 years, the program has grown to reach over 6L children across 55 Fellowship programs, through a network of about 72 Education Entrepreneurs and a movement of approximately 6K+ leaders.
The program utilizes a variety of learning methods- including immersive learning circles and site visits, online and peer learning, individual mentorship, module-based skill development, and real-world application and program delivery.
