The TGT English teacher is responsible for teaching English to students of classes 6–10. The role includes building strong language skills, enhancing literary understanding, and preparing students for academic assessments while maintaining an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach English Language and Literature to classes 6–10 as per the prescribed curriculum.
  • Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching materials that are interactive and age-appropriate.
  • Conduct grammar lessons, prose and poetry classes, reading comprehension sessions, and writing practice.
  • Promote development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing (LSRW) skills.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Assess student performance through class tests, assignments, projects, and periodic exams.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and share feedback with parents.
  • Encourage participation in debates, elocution, drama, and literary club activities.
  • Use technology and smart-class tools to enhance teaching.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in school events, parent meetings, and professional development programs.
  • Support slow learners and provide extra guidance when required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree with English as a major subject.
  • B.Ed. with English as the teaching specialization.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience (preferred).
  • Strong command of English grammar, vocabulary, and literature.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to teach through engaging methods and integrate technology.
  • Familiarity with CBSE/ICSE/State Board curriculum for classes 6–10.

Additional Requirements (Optional)

  • Experience in conducting literary activities, competitions, or school events.
  • Knowledge of NEP guidelines and modern teaching methodologies.
  • Creativity, patience, and passion for student development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.38 per month
