The Hindi Teacher will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Curriculum & Lesson Planning:
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that strictly adhere to the latest CBSE syllabus for the assigned grades (PRT/TGT/PGT level).
- Ensure comprehensive coverage of Hindi Grammar, Literature, Comprehension, Composition, and Creative Writing.
- Integrate a variety of teaching aids, resources, and innovative methodologies to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Instruction and Classroom Management:
- Deliver lessons effectively, focusing on fluency, pronunciation, and correct usage of the Hindi language (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment that encourages student participation and interactive learning.
- Introduce students to the rich cultural heritage embedded in Hindi literature and language.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Prepare and administer tests, assignments, and examinations as per the school's and CBSE's assessment guidelines.
- Evaluate student work (classwork, homework, and test papers) promptly and provide constructive, quality feedback to facilitate academic growth.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and performance.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians during Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and as needed, discussing student progress and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and the Head of Department (HOD) to share best practices and contribute to interdisciplinary projects.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, school events, and co-curricular activities related to Hindi language and culture (e.g., elocution, debate, drama).
- Professional Development:
- Stay updated with the latest educational trends, teaching methodologies, and CBSE curriculum changes.
- Participate in relevant professional development workshops and training programs.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong Command: Deep and fluent command of the Hindi language (written and spoken), including grammar, vocabulary, and literature.
- Pedagogical Skills: Excellent classroom management, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to simplify complex topics and make learning engaging and enjoyable.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Thorough understanding and experience with the CBSE curriculum, evaluation pattern, and CCE/Assessment scheme (where applicable).
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with modern educational technology and digital tools for teaching (e.g., smart boards, online resources).
- Soft Skills: Patience, adaptability, professionalism, and a genuine passion for teaching the Hindi language and fostering a love for Indian culture.
