Role Summary
The TGT Kannada Teacher is responsible for teaching Kannada language and literature to students of Grades 6–10. The teacher should create an engaging, student-centered learning environment that promotes language proficiency, cultural understanding, and academic excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Teach Kannada language, grammar, literature, and writing skills as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom activities that enhance linguistic and literary skills.
- Use innovative and age-appropriate teaching methodologies to make learning interactive.
- Conduct regular assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide constructive feedback.
- Support students in developing reading, comprehension, and creative writing abilities.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a disciplined, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Ensure proper classroom organization and student engagement during lessons.
Curriculum & Assessment
- Assist in designing curricular and co-curricular activities related to Kannada language.
- Prepare question papers, assignments, and conduct periodic tests and examinations.
- Maintain detailed student records and progress reports.
Student Development
- Encourage students to participate in Kannada literary clubs, debates, drama, and cultural activities.
- Provide academic guidance and language support to students who need additional help.
Professional Responsibilities
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, workshops, and school events.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, coordinators, and management to enhance the academic program.
- Adhere to school policies, ethical standards, and child-safety guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with Kannada as a major subject.
- B.Ed. with specialization in Kannada (mandatory for TGT level).
- 2–5 years of teaching experience preferred (freshers with strong subject knowledge may also apply).
- Good communication skills in Kannada and basic proficiency in English.
- Strong classroom management, patience, and passion for teaching.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools (smart boards, educational apps, etc.) is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
