Job Summary:
The TGT – Mathematics & Science Teacher will be responsible for teaching Mathematics and Science to students in the middle and secondary grades as per CBSE curriculum standards. The teacher should create an engaging, inquiry-driven, and concept-oriented learning environment that nurtures scientific temper, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills among students.
Key Responsibilities:Academic Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in Mathematics and Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology up to Class X) as per CBSE guidelines.
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments aligned with CBSE learning outcomes and Bloom’s Taxonomy.
- Integrate STEM and experiential learning approaches to promote conceptual understanding.
- Conduct practical sessions, demonstrations, and hands-on experiments safely and effectively.
- Prepare students for periodic tests, term examinations, and board assessments.
- Maintain accurate academic records, grades, and progress reports for each student.
Curriculum & Assessment:
- Design question papers, assignments, and projects in line with CBSE evaluation patterns.
- Participate in the development and review of school curriculum and learning materials.
- Incorporate technology (smart boards, simulations, digital tools) to enhance learning outcomes.
- Ensure continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) and maintain documentation as per CBSE norms.
Student Engagement & Mentoring:
- Foster curiosity and encourage inquiry-based learning in both Mathematics and Science.
- Identify and support students with varying learning abilities through remedial and enrichment sessions.
- Motivate students to participate in Math and Science Olympiads, exhibitions, and competitions.
- Promote scientific thinking, environmental awareness, and innovation through classroom and co-curricular activities.
Professional & School Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary projects and co-curricular programs.
- Participate actively in school functions, assemblies, exhibitions, and parent–teacher interactions.
- Attend regular training programs, workshops, and CBSE/NEP 2020 capacity-building sessions.
- Uphold the school’s vision, mission, and values while maintaining the highest professional ethics.
Qualifications and Experience:Essential:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Science / Mathematics with B.Ed. (recognized by NCTE).
- Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school.
- Language Proficiency: Strong command of English (spoken and written).
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree (M.Sc. / M.A. in Mathematics or Science discipline).
- Experience with digital tools such as Google Classroom, MS Teams, or interactive learning platforms.
- Exposure to NEP 2020-aligned pedagogical practices, experiential learning, and competency-based assessment.
