1. Teaching & Classroom Management
- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the curriculum (CBSE/ICSE Board).
- Teach classes from Grades 6–10 using appropriate teaching aids and methodologies.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom activities that support concept clarity and skill development.
- Maintain effective classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Conduct remedial classes for students needing additional support.
2. Curriculum & Assessment
- Design unit plans, worksheets, practice papers and assessments based on learning objectives.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments as per school guidelines.
- Evaluate answer scripts accurately and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain students’ academic progress records and submit marks on time.
- Align teaching methods with board expectations, competency-based learning, and NEP guidelines.
3. Student Support & Mentoring
- Motivate students to develop logical thinking, problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning.
- Identify learning gaps and provide necessary interventions.
- Counsel students academically and help reduce math anxiety.
4. Classroom Resources & Planning
- Use digital tools, math lab resources, and teaching aids to enhance understanding.
- Integrate activity-based learning, real-life math applications, and project-based assignments.
- Update and maintain teaching files, planner documents and portfolios.
5. Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and improvement areas.
- Coordinate with other subject teachers and the academic coordinators for interdisciplinary or school-wide activities.
- Participate in staff meetings, PTMs, workshops, and training sessions.
6. Administrative & School Duties
- Assist in exam invigilation, paper-setting, correction, and result preparation.
- Perform responsibilities assigned for school events, assemblies, competitions, and duties such as dispersal, substitution, etc.
- Ensure adherence to school policies, safety guidelines, and ethical practices.
7. Professional Development
- Attend mandatory professional development and subject-specific training programs.
- Stay updated with changes in curriculum, board guidelines, and teaching methodologies.
- Continually work on enhancing subject expertise and pedagogical skills.
