TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) & PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) Hindi roles involve planning and delivering engaging Hindi lessons (grammar, literature, composition), developing curriculum materials, assessing student progress, managing classrooms, and fostering a love for the language, with PGTs focusing on senior classes and board exams (MA + B.Ed.), while TGTs typically handle middle/secondary levels (BA/B.Sc. + B.Ed.). Key duties include creating lesson plans, conducting remedial classes, participating in school activities, and parent communication, with PGTs handling more advanced/board-level content.

Common Responsibilities for Both TGT & PGT Hindi Teachers:

  • Lesson Planning & Delivery: Develop and deliver structured Hindi lessons covering grammar, literature, poetry, and composition.
  • Curriculum & Materials: Create engaging lesson plans, worksheets, and learning modules aligned with the school's curriculum (CBSE, ICSE, etc.).
  • Assessment & Evaluation: Set, mark, and grade assignments, tests, and exams; provide feedback.
  • Classroom Management: Foster a positive, interactive, and disciplined learning environment.
  • Student Support: Provide extra help (remedial classes) and support for students needing it.
  • Extracurriculars: Mentor students for competitions (debates, recitation) and participate in school events/cultural programs.
  • Parent & Staff Interaction: Attend parent-teacher meetings, communicate progress, and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate student records and academic performance data.

Key Differences (TGT vs. PGT):

  • Target Students: TGTs focus on Middle/Secondary levels; PGTs on Senior Secondary (Classes 11 & 12).
  • Focus: PGTs prepare students for Board Examinations (like CBSE/ISC) with more advanced, in-depth content; TGTs build foundational skills.

Typical Qualifications:

  • TGT Hindi: Bachelor's Degree (B.A. in Hindi) + B.Ed..
  • PGT Hindi: Master's Degree (M.A. in Hindi) + B.Ed..

Required Skills:

  • Excellent command of Hindi language & literature.
