In line with the recruitment process, the school is looking for an experienced Punjabi Teacher for Chitkara International School, Panchkula.

Job Summary:

The TGT Punjabi teacher will be responsible for teaching Punjabi language and literature to middle and secondary school students as per the CBSE curriculum. The role involves developing students’ reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills in Punjabi while fostering an appreciation for Punjabi culture and values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Punjabi lessons aligned with CBSE curriculum guidelines.
• Develop lesson plans and learning materials to suit the varied learning levels of students.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and curiosity.
• Assess and evaluate students’ progress through tests, assignments, and examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback and academic support to students as required.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ academic performance and attendance.
• Participate in departmental meetings, school functions, and co-curricular activities.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
• Collaborate with other teachers to promote cross-curricular learning.
• Ensure classroom discipline and adherence to school policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree with Punjabi as a main subject.
• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) – Mandatory.
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience (preferably in a CBSE school).
• Proficiency in spoken and written Punjabi and English.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for teaching and student development.
• Familiarity with modern pedagogical tools and educational technology.
