1. Teaching & Classroom Instruction
- Teach Social Science subjects (History, Civics, Geography, Economics) as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare structured lesson plans and use interactive teaching strategies with maps, charts, models, and case studies.
- Conduct subject enrichment activities to strengthen conceptual understanding.
- Provide remedial support for students who need additional help.
2. Academic Responsibilities
- Design assessments, worksheets, assignments, and projects aligned with board guidelines.
- Evaluate notebooks, class tests, and periodic assessments with accuracy and fairness.
- Prepare students thoroughly for board-style questions, map work, and long-answer formats.
- Maintain up-to-date student academic records, portfolios, and documentation.
**3. Board Evaluation Expertise (CBSE/State Board)
- Experience in evaluating board exam answer scripts with accuracy and adherence to marking schemes.
- Ability to guide students on board exam patterns, frequently tested concepts, and answer-writing strategies.
- Ensure internal assessments and project work follow board guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all protocols related to board examinations.
- Support the school exam cell in verification, moderation, and preparation of board-related documentation.
4. Classroom Management
- Establish a disciplined, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Facilitate debates, discussions, and group-based activities.
- Address behavioral, academic, and learning concerns promptly.
5. Communication & Coordination
- Communicate student progress with parents during PTMs and through scheduled updates.
- Collaborate with other staff on integrated projects and activity planning.
- Coordinate with the Social Science department and school leadership on academic planning.
6. Co-curricular & School Activities
- Train students for Social Science quizzes, debates, model making, map competitions, and exhibitions.
- Organize and participate in events such as Constitution Day, Literacy Day, Earth Day, and field trips.
- Support assemblies, annual events, and school celebrations.
7. Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain lesson plans, attendance, assessment records, and departmental files.
- Follow exam protocols, school policies, and documentation requirements.
- Undertake substitution duties and tasks assigned by the administration.
8. Professional Development
- Attend workshops, CBSE/DIKSHA trainings, and skill-building programs.
- Stay updated on NEP guidelines, new teaching methodologies, and Social Science pedagogy.
- Continuously reflect on teaching practices for improvement.
