Role Overview

The TGT Social Science Teacher is responsible for teaching History, Civics, Geography, and Economics (as per curriculum) to classes VI–X. The role involves effective lesson delivery, classroom management, student engagement, and academic development, aligned with the school’s teaching standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in History, Civics, Geography, and Economics.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, and assessment tools.
• Use interactive teaching methods—discussion, storytelling, maps, role play, and digital tools.
• Integrate NEP-aligned learning strategies and experiential learning.
• Monitor student progress and provide remedial support where needed.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Conduct formative and summative assessments as per school guidelines.
• Evaluate answer sheets, maintain accurate student records, and share feedback.
• Prepare question papers, projects, and assignments following the curriculum.

Classroom Management

• Maintain discipline, create a positive learning environment, and manage classroom activities.
• Encourage student participation, critical thinking, and inquiry-based learning.

Administrative & Professional Duties

• Maintain lesson records, attendance, and academic documentation.
• Participate in parent–teacher meetings and update parents on student performance.
• Actively take part in school events, assemblies, field trips, and co-curricular activities.
• Attend training, workshops, and professional development sessions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with History/Geography/Political Science/Economics as major subjects.
• B.Ed. from a recognized institution (mandatory).
• Minimum 3-6 years of teaching experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Knowledge of CBSE/ICSE/State Board curriculum.
• Proficiency in digital tools (smart board, educational software preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
