Job Summary
The TGT Teacher is responsible for teaching middle and secondary classes (generally Classes VI–X), delivering curriculum effectively, and supporting students’ academic and overall development.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach assigned subject(s) to Classes VI–X as per prescribed syllabus
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments
- Conduct classroom teaching using effective teaching methodologies
- Evaluate students through tests, assignments, and examinations
- Maintain student records, attendance, and academic progress
- Support students with academic guidance and mentoring
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and training programs
- Communicate with parents regarding student performance
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment
Subject-Specific Focus
- English: Reading, writing, grammar, literature, and communication skills
- Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology basics, and practical activities
- Mathematics: Concept building, problem-solving, and logical reasoning
- SST: History, Geography, Civics, and Economics fundamentals
- Computer: Computer basics, MS Office, coding fundamentals, and digital literacy
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in relevant subject
- B.Ed degree (mandatory)
- Strong subject knowledge and teaching skills
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Teaching experience at middle/secondary level
- Familiarity with CBSE / ICSE / State Board syllabus
- Classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to use smart boards and digital tools
