TGT/PGT General Science Teacher
Role Definition:
The General Science Teacher is responsible for imparting foundational knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology through inquiry-based and experiential learning methods. The teacher ensures scientific thinking, conceptual clarity, application-based learning alignment with CBSE curriculum standards while fostering confidence and analytical thinking among students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc / B.E.) in Science (Physics / Chemistry / Biology).
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) – Mandatory.
- Eligibility as per CBSE norms for TGT/PGT Teachers.
- Sound knowledge of scientific concepts and lab practices.
- Ability to conduct experiments and manage laboratory sessions.
- Proficiency in using teaching aids and basic computer skills for lesson planning, assessments, and academic reporting..
Tasks & Activities:
- Teach General Science concepts as per CBSE syllabus and academic calendar.
- Plan and conduct theory lessons, demonstrations, and practical activities.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments aligned with learning outcomes.
- Use activity-based, problem-solving, and real-life application methods to teach concepts.
- Conduct regular assessments, evaluate answer scripts, and maintain academic records.
- Prepare students for internal assessments, examinations, and board-aligned evaluations.
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support and enrichment activities.
- Promote scientific inquiry, observation, experimentation, and critical thinking.
- Encourage environmental awareness and scientific temperament.
- Integrate technology, models, and teaching aids into lessons.
- Maintain discipline and a focused learning environment in the classroom.
- Conduct and supervise laboratory activities ensuring safety protocols.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain academic and lab records.
- Coordinate with lab staff and maintain discipline in classrooms and labs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure interdisciplinary learning and academic consistency.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and academic concerns.
- Participate in academic planning, meetings,training,events and professional development programs.
- Uphold school policies, CBSE norms, and ethical teaching standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
