TGT/PGT Mathematics Teacher

Role Definition:

The Mathematics Teacher is responsible for developing students’ logical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and numerical proficiency through effective teaching practices. The teacher ensures conceptual clarity, application-based learning, and alignment with CBSE curriculum standards while fostering confidence and analytical thinking among students.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc / B.E. / BA) with Mathematics as a core subject.
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) – Mandatory.
  • Eligibility as per CBSE norms for TGT/PGT Teachers.
  • Proficiency in using teaching aids and basic computer skills for lesson planning, assessments, and academic reporting.

Tasks & Activities:

  • Plan and deliver Mathematics lessons as per the CBSE curriculum and academic plan.
  • Develop conceptual understanding in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and related areas.
  • Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments aligned with learning outcomes.
  • Use activity-based, problem-solving, and real-life application methods to teach concepts.
  • Conduct regular assessments, evaluate answer scripts, and maintain academic records.
  • Prepare students for internal assessments, examinations, and board-aligned evaluations.
  • Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support and enrichment activities.
  • Encourage logical thinking, accuracy, and systematic problem-solving approaches.
  • Integrate technology, teaching aids, and math tools to enhance learning.
  • Maintain discipline and a focused learning environment in the classroom.
  • Conduct and supervise laboratory activities ensuring safety protocols.
  • Evaluate student performance and maintain academic and lab records.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure interdisciplinary learning and academic consistency.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and academic concerns.
  • Participate in academic planning, meetings, and professional development programs.
  • Uphold school policies, CBSE norms, and ethical teaching standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

  • Chitradurga, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:
