The PE/Swimming Teacher

To teach, train and prepare students for swimming activities based on class schedules.
Plan and effectively organize class time and lesson plans
Ensure safe provision of all equipment and ensure it is used correctly
Make sure safety standards are followed in sessions and undertake risk assessments
Identify students’ ability and encourage them to reach their full potential
Provide explanations and demonstrate swimming techniques
Teach Physical Education and swimming under the curriculum of quality sport activities
Record and report on the development, progress and attainment of children including initiating meeting with parents to discuss attainment and progress
Keep a disciplined class whilst promoting the general well-being of children.
Teach with encouragement and positive reinforcement
Provide for consistency in instruction by working each assigned period
Perform other tasks assigned by the school principal.

Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards PE/swimming
Proficient in English (speaking, writing and listening);
The ability to inspire confidence and motivate swimmers
Perseverance and patience
The ability to encourage people and put them at ease
An understanding of how to differentiate in a coaching session especially kids
Knowledge of swimming strokes and teaching levels
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
