Therapist

Job Summary
The Mental Health Therapist works under the supervision of the Clinical Director and counselor supervisor. The primary responsibility is to provide individual, family, and group therapies in a school-based setting in London, Ohio, while also supporting outpatient and residential (QRTP) clients. The therapist will coordinate a variety of clinical mental health activities, perform diagnostic and assessment procedures, and contribute to treatment planning and program development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily individual, family, and group therapy sessions with clients.
• Complete diagnostic assessments, psychosocial evaluations, and treatment plans in compliance with OhioMHAS, Medicaid, and CARF standards.
• Coordinate clinical activities and collaborate with other staff to ensure consistent and effective care.
• Monitor client care to ensure compliance with agency policies and promptly report concerns to the supervisor or Clinical Director.
• Attend treatment team meetings, executive committee meetings, and staffings with accurate and prepared reports.
• Maintain ongoing contact with families/guardians, referral sources, and authorized external providers to support client progress.
• Document services, interventions, and progress notes accurately and timely within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Meet with outside agencies (e.g., local Mental Health Boards, referral sources, state agencies) for marketing, audit, or informational purposes, as needed.
• Assume additional duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or Counseling Supervisor.
• Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related mental health field (Master’s preferred). Must meet Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board requirements.
• Licensure: Active Ohio license required — LISW, LSW, LPC, or LPCC.
• Experience: Preferred experience working with adolescents, teens, and adults with mental health diagnoses in outpatient, school-based, or residential settings.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
