Jory Behavioral Health is nearing the grand opening of their new Secure Residential Treatment Facility designed to serve Oregon’s Aid & Assist Population (ORS 161.370) in Salem, OR. In close partnership with Jory, Jackson House is seeking a Therapist to provide individual and group therapy sessions for the clients at Jory. This is a unique opportunity to provide life-changing services by helping residents navigate treatment, competency restoration, and re-entry into the community.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide individual therapy for a caseload of 8 clients.
  • Facilitate two daily group therapy sessions using CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
  • Complete intake assessments, treatment planning, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with nurses, peers, and medical staff for holistic, recovery-focused care.
  • Engage families and community partners in treatment and discharge planning.
  • Provide on-call rotation coverage for clinical support after hours.
  • Promote recovery, resilience, and hope in every interaction.

Qualifications

Hold a master's or higher degree with an emphasis in psychology, counseling, social work, or relevant degree.
OR
Hold an active Oregon License in recreational/art/music therapy.

Required: Hold an active Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)

  • Complies with accepted professional licensing standards in the state of Oregon.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Clinical Mental Health Therapist providing group therapy services, highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy strongly preferred.
  • Obtain and maintain current BLS CPR.
  • Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order to get to and from work in all weather conditions to ensure reliability.

This role is eligible for the National Mental Health Workforce Accelerator Program, an exciting opportunity funded by Kaiser Permanente and managed by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Designed for post-master’s candidates pursuing clinical licensure, the program offers up to $10,000 in milestone-based incentives, including cash stipends and professional development benefits.
