Therapy Aide- Inpatient Rehabilitation

Location: Parkland: 17th FLR BLK 600

• Fulltime Days, 7am-3:30pm, some weekends

Primary Purpose:

Provides assistance to therapist and leadership to support staff to enhance the patient's healing process, recovery and return to independence.
Experience:

• Must have two years of experience in a rehabilitative or healthcare setting.

Equivalent Education and/or Experience

• May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute the experience requirements.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:
- Must have a current Heartsaver CPR course completion card within 90 days of hire and/or placement in job from one of the following:
o American Heart Association
o American Red Cross Rescuer
o Military Training Network.

Skills or Special Abilities:

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to utilize required software for assigned department.
• Must be able to demonstrate patient valued/patient centered care.
• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skill in meeting age related and handicapped patients' needs.
• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of treatment equipment.
• Must be familiar with hospital environment.
