TIG Welder, 3-5 years experience TIG welding required

The ideal candidate will effectively manage their daily work flow and ensure each task is completed efficiently, safely, and that customer expectations are met or exceeded with all of the work completed. Welders are responsible for preparing for their welding projects, including weld prep of parts, preparing handles for parts, maintaining a clean station to prevent cross contamination. Welders, like all other staff, assist the owner in shop as needed to meet our exacting customer requirements. Could include grinding, engraving, packing or inspecting parts to ensure we are meeting customer expectation.

This position requires an experienced, energetic, and detail-focused individual that wants to be a part of a growing team and company. The ideal candidate will have a background in fabrication and welding. Metals encountered are Stainless, Nickle Alloys, Carbon Steel and Chrome Mollies. Most Welding is GTAW, stick welding. All welding is onsite with no field work. Most parts are small to medium in size.

Welding certification a plus, ASME section IX welder certificate is our standard.

Fabrication staff have shipping and receiving responsibilities.

• Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the custom metal manufacturing.

• Must be willing to pitch in where needed to meet customer and company requirements. Some overtime is required.
• Punctual and regular attendance is essential
• Ability to meet challenging deadlines in an efficient and profitable manner.
• Ability to work well with upper management as well as shop personnel.
• Some basic computer knowledge – MS Outlook email and MS Excel or other software related to equipment.
• Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs. and utilize pallet jack or forklift for heavier items.
• Candidate must be able to stoop, bend, and do physical work.
• Candidate must be able to use welding equipment and have basic personal equipment.
• Candidate must be able to write, read, add, and use measuring tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 42 per week
