TIG Welder/Fabricator

Suburban Welding and Steel is growing and looking to add a TIG welder to our team!

We are looking to add a top notch TIG welder to our team. Our ideal candidate should be proficient in all aspects of TIG welding and be able to set and adjust their own machine as needed. You should be comfortable in welding all common ferrous and non-ferrous materials (steel, stainless steel and aluminum) in varying thickness’s as well. While we do have “production” work, do not expect to weld the same parts over and over, day in and day out. The majority of the work you will be asked to do will be pre-fabricated and ready for welding however, knowing how to fabricate (cut, form, punch and assemble within +/- 1/16”) is a plus and will give you more opportunities for fast growth within the company. In addition, if you are familiar and proficient in any other types of welding (TIG and Stick) please let us know!

Requirements:

• Proficient in TIG welding (in and out of position and ability to set/adjust machine)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints without assistance
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16”
• Ability to occasionally push/pull/carry up to 70 pounds by ones self
• Welding classes and/or technical training is a plus but not required.
• Fork lift and/or over-head crane experience is a plus but not required
