MIG/TIG Welder/Fabricator

Job Summary

G&C are a Sheet Metal Fabrication company located in Pershore, we mainly weld mild steel parts between 1mm and 6mm.
We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding various metal components with precision and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in welding and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials, primarily sheet metal and fabricated components
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication
• Assist with assembly processes as required, ensuring parts fit correctly and meet quality standards
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Conduct inspections of welds for quality assurance, making necessary adjustments or repairs
• Operate fabrication machinery and tools to cut, shape, or prepare materials for welding tasks

Qualifications

• Proven experience in TIG welding; experience with MIG welding is also essential
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
• Strong understanding of sheet metal work and basic mechanical principles
• Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic math calculations related to measurements and tolerances.

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
