Tile mason

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Tile Mason to join our construction team. The Tile Mason will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and laying tiles to create durable and aesthetically pleasing surfaces on floors, walls, and other structures. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine tile layout and design.
• Measure, cut, and shape tiles using hand and power tools.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate adhesives or mortar.
• Install tiles on floors, walls, ceilings, countertops, and other surfaces.
• Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and finishing of tiles.
• Apply grout, sealants, and finishes to protect and enhance the tile work.
• Repair or replace damaged tiles and surfaces when necessary.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Adhere to building codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a tile mason, tile setter, or similar role.
• Knowledge of different types of tiles, adhesives, grouting techniques, and finishing materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Skilled in using hand tools and cutting machines for tile work.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments.
• Strong attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills (Optional)

• Experience with decorative tile patterns, mosaics, and custom designs.
• Knowledge of waterproofing techniques and modern installation systems.
• Certification in masonry or related construction trades.

Work Environment

• Work performed on construction sites, residential properties, and commercial buildings.
• May involve working indoors or outdoors, sometimes in confined spaces or at heights.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
