1. Role Objective:

Responsible for recording workers attendance on site and maintaining an accurate track of hours worked for payroll purposes. Timekeeper acts as liaison between workers on site and Personnel and Administration department to ensure the smooth process of pay distribution.

2. Detailed Roles & Responsibilities:

OPERATIONAL

1) Verifies workers attendance on site on daily basis.

2) Distributes and collects timecards to workers on monthly basis.

3) Tracks and records hours worked (normal hours and overtime hours) on the project master timesheet showing arrival and departure times.

4) Manages the site electronic attendance system and ensures its accuracy by comparing with physical data records.

5) Clocks all indirect employees (subcontractors) on site as they are assigned by the foreman.

6) Tracks and records workers “contract” hours and routes to Personnel and Administration department on a timely manner to ensure effective release of payroll.

7) Manages the recordkeeping including maintaining and filing all workers timesheets, temporary transfers and absence logs.

8) Reports to head office, on a timely manner, any error in the attendance system or discrepancy between manual and electronic attendance records.

9) Ensures that all workers possess gate passes and tracks their expiry dates.

10) Processes timesheets for new workers and enter their information (name, ID#, etc) into the attendance electronic system on site.

11) Reports lost/damaged RFID cards to Personnel department.

12) Prepares and submits daily manpower report to Personnel department highlighting absent employees.

13) Demonstrates good knowledge in the use of computer software applications and database management, as well as administrative procedures.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

1) Assists in the training of new time keepers as requested by the management.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
