The Title & Lien Specialist position handles and distributes all email and mail communication for the Title & Lien Team and maintains pending title work and lien perfection queues. This position handles all administrative duties for the Title & Lien Team including scanning, copying, and organizing lien and title paperwork. The Title & Lien Specialist handles title and UCC perfections, along with title and contract corrections.
** This is a hybrid role based in Wausau, WI. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with required in-office days on Tuesday and Friday. **
Essential Functions
Handle and/or distribute all mail received by the Title & Lien Team
Scan, Copy and File lien paperwork for the Title Department
Greet customers and dealers by phone in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
Monitor and complete incoming department emails
Accurately locate and note accounts or applications in relation to title or lien information
Review contracts for collateral errors and accurately track contract amendments
Maintain current knowledge on state/county title and UCC perfection requirements
Review and check in completed lien documentation received from state offices
Fill out and process duplicate title and title correction paperwork with state and county offices
Update and maintain pending title work call queues
Call dealers, state titling offices, and customers to gain information on status of title and lien placement
Track and file all UCC-1 recordings with state for required accounts
Create and send lien release letters and terminations for paid in full accounts
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
2 years of Customer Service or Administrative experience, or related work experience, required
Financial industry experience preferred
Attention to detail and accuracy required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Evening and weekend hours will be required and will be determined by team needs and business requirements
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
This position is an office-based position where you must be able to sit for long periods of time. The employee will be working on a computer 90% of the time.
