Summary

Assist library users at the Research & Information Desk, on the phone, and in person.

Essential Functions

  • Answering and/or referring in-person, phone, chat, and text reference, directional, & equipment questions.
  • Assisting and instructing users with the library's Website.
  • Assisting and instructing users with research databases, library guides, and other library resources.
  • Light maintenance and troubleshooting of computers, printers, copiers, and scanners.
  • Picking up, scanning, and shelving reference books.
  • Office responsibilities which may include checking and book shelving in the reference collection, stocking paper and toner.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Concurrent enrollment in or successful completion of WRIT 1120.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Previous library experience is desirable but not necessary.
