TMA Driver

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle Operation: Drive and safely position TMA trucks to shield road crews and maintenance operations from oncoming traffic.
• Attenuator Deployment: Operate and adjust the rear-mounted impact attenuator (crash cushion) and arrow boards according to site protocols.
• Work Zone Setup: Assist in placing and removing safety equipment, temporary signs, pylons, and barricades.
• Traffic Control: Monitor traffic flow, assist with flagging, and actively communicate with crew members and site supervisors.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-start checks, maintain equipment, and report any mechanical issues or damage. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Job Requirements

• Commercial License: Hold the appropriate commercial driver's license (e.g., Heavy Rigid or equivalent) for operating large trucks.
• Safety Certifications: Maintain required traffic management or construction safety credentials.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions.
• Risk Awareness: Strong knowledge of work zone safety standards and hazard identification.
