Responsibilities:
- Monitor real-time transactions for suspicious activities, ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) regulations.
- Analyze alerts generated by the transaction monitoring system and investigate suspicious transactions.
- Escalate potential risks to the compliance team or regulatory authorities, if necessary.
- Assist in fine-tuning the transaction monitoring system to improve accuracy and reduce false positives.
- Prepare detailed reports of investigations and maintain documentation for regulatory audits.
- Conduct periodic reviews and updates of transaction monitoring policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective implementation of AML/CTF controls.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience in transaction monitoring, AML, or compliance, preferably in an exchange house or financial institution.
- Familiarity with transaction monitoring systems and AML software.
- Strong knowledge of AML/CTF regulations and suspicious activity reporting.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail for identifying suspicious patterns.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (certifications like CAMS are a plus).
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and under regulatory scrutiny.
