Toddler Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, helping them to develop essential skills and a love for learning. This position requires a commitment to early childhood education and the ability to engage with children in a meaningful way.

Responsibilities

  • Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, employing positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that is conducive to learning.
  • Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education, including first aid and childhood development.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of childcare principles and early childhood development.
  • Experience working with toddler-aged children in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff members.
  • First aid certification is preferred but not required.
  • A genuine passion for educating young children and supporting their growth.

Schedule

  • Part-time Schedule: Mondays and Thursdays 7:30am to 5:30pm
  • Guaranteed 20 hours per week with the opporunity for more hours if sub coverage is needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
